Thus, Thein Well was founded by Eugene Thein to provide house, farm, and community wells in the rural regions of Minnesota. The Present Over 100+ years, spanning three centuries and in its fourth generation of Thein family involvement, Thein Well constructs, installs, and maintains any and all sizes of wells and pumps; provides a wide array of environmental drilling services in addition to a variety of other drilling services from heat loop installations to foundation drilling. Geographically, Thein has expanded to serve the six-state North Central region of the United States, with offices in four cities. And we're still growing! Thein has constantly improved its operating efficiency through innovation and advanced technology ... as demonstrated by the following examples. In the early 1900's, pioneered construction of large diameter wells by means of percussion drilling In the 1960's, pioneered down-the-hole high-pressure air hammer drilling, thereby providing quick and efficient completion of wells in creviced rock formations. In 1972, became a pioneer company in it's North Central operating region by developing and using television monitoring of underground wells to analyze and solve problems accurately, efficiently, and professionaly. In 1981, developed and patented a procedure to improve the effeciency and to reduce or eliminate sand pumping problems in consolidated formation wells. (U.S. Patent #4,265,312; May 1981)
